Eric Weissberg

Eric Weissberg (1939-2020) was an American folk musician and banjo player, best known for his contributions to the folk and bluegrass genres. He gained prominence in the 1970s, particularly for his work on the song "Dueling Banjos," which was featured in the film *Deliverance* (1972). This instrumental piece, originally titled "Feudin' Banjos," showcased his virtuosic banjo skills and helped popularize the banjo in mainstream music. Weissberg was a prominent figure in the folk revival movement and collaborated with various artists, including Peter, Paul and Mary, and Bob Dylan.
